My expertise in promotional documentaries led me to work with Studio POW to help raise investment in a new movie about The Beatles first manager, Brian Epstein. Filmed during at event at BAFTA, my aim was to evoke the aura of The Beatles, the movie industry and inspire investors to invest in this independent production.
Whilst overseeing the filming and general staging, I interviewed a range of attendees to get an authentic insight into why people might want to invest. I am always keen to avoid empty or wooden sounding contributions, so I had to be adaptive and resourceful in gathering material from the unprepared subjects!
Having been commissioned to make over a dozen promo documentaries for Studio POW, I am grateful for the confidence they’ve had in me and look forward to a prosperous ongoing partnership. The film ‘Midas Man’ is due for release in Autumn 2023.
